The Marlinger Waalweg is the longest irrigation channel trail in South Tyrol, stretching about 12 km.
It runs above the Adige Valley from Töll to Lana, offering stunning views of Merano, the Burgraviato region, and the Texel Group mountains. The path winds through vineyards, chestnut groves, and orchards, making it perfect for a relaxed, mostly flat hike. There are many inviting rest stops along the way.

Hiking Connections
To Algund Waalweg: At the starting point in Töll, you can switch east to the Algund Waalweg
To Brandis Waalweg in Lana: From the endpoint, a short connecting path leads to the Brandis Waalweg, which runs through the Ultental valley

Outbound: Take the Vinschgerbahn train to Töll station or bus 213 to Töll
Return: From Lana, take bus 211 to Merano, then continue with bus 213 to Töll
